On May 12, 2008, an 8.0 magnitude earthquake hit Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province at 2:28PM. The suddenly-arisen calamity has brought huge damage to our fellowmen in the disaster areas and cost many lives, which also struck the hearts of all WuXi PharmaTech employees.

Shanghai PharmaTech, Tianjin PharmaTech, Suzhou PharmaTech, Jinshan SynTheAll and Changzhou SynTheAll have jointly launched "WuXi PharmaTech Earthquake Disaster Relief Donation Campaign" to offer our kind support and care to our compatriots who are suffering the disaster.

We have received overwhelming response from our employees. Representing the support from all of us, the total donated amount of RMB770,000 was passed on to Shanghai Red Cross on May 19.

Our colleagues in US signed on a blessing board and expressed their deepest prayers and support to the victims.

Our hearts go out to the victims of the earthquake and in particular WuXi employees from Sichuan and their families, wishing them safe and well.
