Principal Scientist I of Process Analytics Service (Shanghai/Changzhou, China)

Key Accountibilities:

  • Perform analytical research and development for pharmaceutical process development and manufacture;
  • Work both independently and in a team on a variety of projects, and use individual discretion to meet required project objectives and deadlines
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with method development for HPLC, GC, and MS.
  • Take a leadership role in a research group to ensure projects moving forward on time;
  • Operate and maintain analytical instruments and equipments;
  • Design, conduct and direct studies, analyze data to draw sound conclusions;
  • Solve technical problems in method development, validation and sample testing; provide technical leadership on analytical issues. Develop solutions for a range of complex problems. Solutions require creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, considering a broad range of potential impacts.
  • Ensures quality of data and documentation conforms to established standards.
  • Project management and distribution, resource coordination;
  • Supervises/mentors others; delegates activities appropriately, review and evaluate group member’s operations;
  • Communicate with clients on project progress, research results, challenges and solutions in English, and answer queries in a timely basis; take proactive actions to ensure clients satisfaction;
  • Compile guidelines, procedures and work plans, generate/revise reports and present/review results;
  • Prepare and conduct technical trainings;
  • Code of conduct and compliance;
  • Be familiar with ICH Guidelines, USP, EP and CP.
  • Requirements:

  • Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry or related discipline, minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development for Ph.D.
  • Proven research skills as shown in scientific publications and hands on experience in pharmaceutical development projects;
  • Proven experience in both project and team management;
  • Good written and oral English;
  • li communication skills, both written and verbal, and outstanding interpersonal skills;
  • Good computer skills for MS Office, data analysis and presentation;
  • Capabilities of handling multiple tasks simultaneously, proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams;
  • Problem solving and trouble-shooting abilities.
