To Our Partners,
We are reaching out to make you aware of a decisive action we are taking to address the U.S. Department of Defense’s erroneous designation of our company, and to protect the interests of our customers, partners, employees and shareholders.
On June 11, 2026 (U.S. time), we have filed a complaint at the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia against Department of Defense, challenging its designation of WuXi AppTec as a “Chinese military company.” We are acting swiftly and decisively as we are confident this designation is wrong and unsupported by the facts or legal criteria.
WuXi AppTec is not a “Chinese military company” and we do not belong on the 1260H list. While we are working with our advisors to pursue every available remedy, we want to reassure you that our operations in the U.S. and around the globe remain fully operational and committed to delivering for you, our valued customers. There is no immediate impact on our day-to-day operations and no change to our ability to serve you with the quality, speed, and efficiency you expect from us. We remain fully committed to our mission of helping you bring life-saving and life-improving therapies and medicines to global patients in need.
We know that uncertainty is difficult when patients’ lives are at stake. Our promise is straightforward: we will keep you apprised of any significant developments of our legal and other efforts, and will continue to deliver the quality, speed, and scientific partnership you have always expected from us. Nothing about today's legal action changes the work we do or the care with which we do it.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ge Li Chairman and CEO, WuXi AppTec
Dr. Minzhang Chen Co-CEO, WuXi AppTec
Dr. Steve Yang Co-CEO, WuXi AppTec
